Who We Are & What We Do
It’s simple. We are a group of former eBay users that became tired of seeing an
increase in seller fees and a decrease in profits. We are tired of putting our
business and livelihood in the hands of a corporation that has grown indifferent
of its users and apathetic to its stakeholders. We also notice that over the years,
more and more people share our opinion; so we decided to do something about it.
Introducing mondro! We know there are other eBay alternative sites out there, so
why add another obscure online auction website into the mix?
Because mondro is different.
From what we have seen, other auction sites exist to make a buck (or two). They
charge to either register, post, sell, or "feature-ize" your auction. mondro doesn't
charge anything...not even one cent.
Money is good but we think helping people is better. Ever heard of a small site
called craiglslist.org?
Well, they are our heroes. Craigslist.org was started as a free service to disperse
event information. As it evolved and gained popularity, it remains (mostly) free. The vision and direction of the site has been
based on feedback from their most important element, their users.
This is the vision of mondro. We want to help people; not profit from them. mondro
is to be a site influenced by the masses. Got an idea on how to make searching for
an item easier? Let us know. Don't like how your images are laid out? Shoot us a
line. If the majority of you want a left handed ventriloquist in a purple suede
vest on the bottom of every page, then that's what you're going to get.
The bottom line is this: mondro is a site that is dedicated to creating an auction
community that is completely free to all of our users. The more members we get,
the more we all benefit. So get your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, parakeet, and
anyone else you know to participate in our "online auction revolution" where
selling is about making a profit and buying is about finding a great deal.
